Annie Get Your Gun

Are you a woman that loves adventure? Do you love taking your adventure to the great outdoors? Do you think about your safety as you pursue your adventure? Have you ever considered arming yourself for your adventures? If so, here are a couple of weapons to think about. While I personally am a fan of Smith and Wesson, there is no mistaking quality. It is because of that quality that I like the S&W model 60. The model 60 comes in a stainless steel three inch barrel and is a 5 shot revolver. The stainless steel will last through whatever weather you may find on your adventure and look nice for a long time. The model 60 is a .357 magnum, which is great for self defense but you could always shoot .38 caliber ammo through it should the .357 be a bit too much. You should find the grip comfortable to hold and with places for your fingers, which is nice because you grab the weapon in the same place each time. You can point and shoot by pulling the trigger (double action) or cock it first (single action) and then pull the trigger. The model 60 is also built on the S&W small frame so it’s not the think from side to side and has an overall length of 7.5 inches. It also weighs in at 24.5 ounces. This would make for a great weapon on any adventure.

For
those of you that may want to look at something that is a little bigger in
caliber, the other weapon that I personally like and is on my list is the
Springfield Armory XDM. This weapon
takes you into the world of semi autos. Not only is it bigger in caliber (more stopping power) but it takes you
from five bullets in a revolver to as many as 17 in one magazine. My personal favorite in the XDM line up is
the Bi-tone (Stainless Steel slide on a mat black grip) .40 caliber in the
compact model. The barrel is 3.8 inches
long with an overall length of 6.75 inches and weighs in at 28 ounces. While the XDM has a grip safety and a trigger
safety it is a point and shoot weapon. There is a little more to learn with a semi-auto but that doesn’t take
much. The Springfield XDM also comes in
a 9mm which is smaller than the .40. The
XDM also has a load indicator so you can tell when the weapon is loaded. One of the great things is that when you buy
a XDM it comes with gun, two to three magazines, holster, and magazine pouch to
carry you extra magazines. With the new
design you can change with grip to hold either a 10 round or a 16 round
magazine. It is an overall nice weapon.
